Join your fellow Lawton families as we represent Lawton Elementary in the Magnolia Summerfest Parade! Wear your favorite Lawton gear, help hand out (not throw!) candy to the crowd, and celebrate our amazing school community.
This year’s theme is “Lu Riding the Wave,” and we’d love your help bringing it to life! There are lots of ways to get involved:
π Help Decorate Our Parade Float
- Join the float planning committee!
- We’ll meet the week before the parade to finalize plans and gather again the evening before to decorate.
- Donations are also appreciated! We’re looking for:
- Large cardboard boxes
- Spray paint
- Pool noodles
- Portable speakers and playlist
π¬ Donate Candy
Help us spread some Lawton spirit by donating individually wrapped candy for parade walkers to hand out to the crowd. Β Bring these the morning of the parade!
𫧠Bring the Bubbles!
Bring bubble guns, bubble wands, or any bubble-themed fun to help create a magical parade experience.
Please leave water guns at home so we can keep everyone dry and avoid spraying spectators.
π
When: Saturday, August 1
π Meet By: 9:45 AM (Parade begins promptly at 10:00 AM)
π Where: Meet at the parade staging area near the Magnolia Community Center on 34th Ave W.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Families are encouraged to walk together. Please have a parent or guardian accompany your child during the parade.
π After the Parade
When the parade ends near Albertsons, look for the Lawton Banner on the lower playfield next to the First Aid & Family Reunification Booth. Β Volunteers are also appreciated to help with the First Aid Booth – sign-up here. Β Stay and reconnect with familiar faces, welcome our incoming Lawton families, share stories from your summer, and kick off another wonderful school year together!
We can’t wait to see our Dolphin community riding the wave through Magnolia! ππ¬
