| Our Kindergarten teachers are hosting this connection session Tuesday, Sept. 5 from 9 am to noon as an opportunity to introduce your incoming kindergarteners to Lawton. It also allows teachers to see how best to create successful classroom groupings. Families will drop off their student at Lawton Elementary at 9am and then can join Principal Dina Clagg in the cafeteria for a coffee chat. Students will be assigned to one of three groups and will explore learning spaces and do activities with our Kindergarten teachers. Plan on returning at noon to pick up your student. Families will also hear from their assigned teacher on the evening of September 5, and will have an opportunity to sign up for a Family Conference with their student’s teacher on September 6, 7, or 8. The first day of school for Kindergarten students in Seattle Public Schools is Monday, September 11. |
