Principal Newsletter May 13, 2022
As we get closer to the end of the year our school comes alive with activities – from end of year reading and math assessments to classroom celebrations and fun. Our partnerships with families are what makes it successful for our students. Today’s outpouring of volunteers for the Move-a-thon was joyful and an excellent way for our community to come together in person. Thank you for all the ways you support our students and our entire Lawton Dolphin community.

Move-A-Thon!

Lawton Move-a-Thon is THIS Friday, May 13
It’s BACK! The Move-a-Thon is a festive, supportive opportunity for our kids to run, walk, skip and dance around the upper field until the music stops. It’s a fun-filled event with lots of parent involvement, and a big accomplishment for our kiddos.
We need lots of parent helpers (at least 3 per class) to track laps, run with the kids and otherwise encourage our movers to keep on keeping on. This is a high-reward, quick and easy outdoor volunteer opportunity—the more the merrier! MAT volunteers are required to be vaccinated and have completed this short

Thank you to all the families who showered the staff at Lawton with appreciation this week. We enjoyed the delicious treats, thoughtful notes, and beautiful flowers. It was great to see students so excited to share their appreciation of teachers and staff and rejuvenating to bask in the glow of our warm and welcoming community.
