Without members, there wouldn’t be a Lawton PTA. Without a Lawton PTA, there wouldn’t be:

The Lawton PTA provides enriching educational opportunities and improves the well-being of our students and school community. Many of the experiences and support that our children enjoy are funded directly by the PTA budget. We are run by volunteers and mobilize countless volunteer opportunities at Lawton throughout the year.

When you join the Lawton PTA each year, you become part of the largest child-advocacy association in the state, and you show your support for all that the Lawton PTA does collectively to help our children, families, and

Class meeting links are posted to your child’s Outlook account/email and calendar. All assignments will be posted in Seesaw. To access both, log on using Clever the Student Portal. Your child’s username and password information were on a sticker on the outside of the manilla envelope you received with your learning kits. Please follow the login instructions shown below:

Dear Families of Students Receiving Special Education Services,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. We have been working diligently over the summer to uplift summer programming and to plan for the return of our students and staff. While we are disappointed that we are unable to welcome you back to buildings face-to-face, we are excited to build relationships with students and families during the Strong Start. Our teams have been planning and building systems to support more robust remote learning practices.

2020-2021 Changes

There are two significant changes for this fall, in alignment with the most recent guidance from the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI):

1. We will be implementing IEPs as written, to the greatest extent possible, and

Great news! Our technology staff finished imaging laptops for your students. We will be checking out devices tomorrow.

Please complete the attached 1:1 Device Agreement form to help check out go faster.

We will have some hard copies available tomorrow, but you will greatly increase the speed of distribution if you come with your form completed. Devices may only be checked out to students or their guardians. You may pick up learning kits and textbooks

Dear Lawton Families:

I hope your family is finding some time to relax this summer. My dog is the best alarm clock each morning, waking us up for our daily neighborhood walk. I have also been spending time on the deck enjoying the sunshine and games of Uno with my family.

I write today to share a few updates with you. Please join me in welcoming Briana Veleber as our part-time Physical Education Teacher. She will replace Jana Kohler who has taken a full time PE position at another school. While we are sad to see Ms. Kohler go, we are excited to get to know Ms. Veleber!

The school itself has been busy this summer. The Boys and Girls Club is on
