Lawton Move-a-Thon is THIS Friday, May 13
It’s BACK! The Move-a-Thon is a festive, supportive opportunity for our kids to run, walk, skip and dance around the upper field until the music stops. It’s a fun-filled event with lots of parent involvement, and a big accomplishment for our kiddos.
We need lots of parent helpers (at least 3 per class) to track laps, run with the kids and otherwise encourage our movers to keep on keeping on. This is a high-reward, quick and easy outdoor volunteer opportunity—the more the merrier! MAT volunteers are required to be vaccinated and have completed this short Health and Safety Course.
See the time schedule below and arrive at the field 10 minutes before your child’s session to get instructions. Parents of K – 3rd graders with full SPS volunteer clearance can head to their classroom to help the kids pin on their numbers.
8:00 – 8:45 // 4th grade
8:50 – 9:35 // 3rd grade
9:40 – 10:25 // Kindergarten
10:30 – 11:15 // 1st grade
12:30 – 1:15 // 2nd grade (includes Ms. Wyman’s class)
1:20 – 2:05 // 5th grade
** Don’t forget to send your child to school on May 13 with a water bottle and athletic clothes! **
