We’re entering a busy month with several school-based initiatives you may want to support. Please read below for information on community giving, a fourth-grade service project, a Spirit Wear collection effort, and a booster clinic.
We are searching for a new instructional assistant to join the Special Education team at Lawton. If you know someone who would be a good fit, please encourage them to apply.
Holiday Giving for Lawton Families Due December 8th
If you would like to help support a Lawton family with holiday gifts, please click HERE to sign up and then deliver all gift cards to the Lawton front office on or before Thursday, December 8th.
4th Grade Collecting Used Sneakers December 5-9th
Got Sneakers? Please support our fourth-grade community service project by donating your used sneakers (no boots or sandals) next week!
- You get to clean clutter and smelly shoes from your closets;
- Sneakers get recycled or reused to keep them out of landfills;
- Money earned supports our pen pals at Balo English Medium School in Kolkata, India.
Our goal is to collect over 1,000 pairs of sneakers in the blue bin at the school entrance.
Have Outgrown Spirit Wear? Drop off now through break.
The PTA is collecting your outgrown Spirit Wear from now through winter break. Drop yours in the marked box outside the front entry. Depending on the volume of the collection and condition of the items, PTA will either donate them to school families or resell them at lower prices. The hope is to do a collection once or twice a year that allows spirit wear to make the most of our spirit wear campaigns and keep old clothes out of landfills.
Booster Clinic Monday, December 12th from 2:30 – 4pm
We are excited to have a mini vaccine clinic at Lawton for Flu and Covid-Boosters. Anyone eligible person 5 years and older can attend.
