As we enter the last week before break, let’s work together to finish strong and healthy despite respiratory illness season being here. Please keep students home when sick, following Department of Health guidance on when students are healthy enough to return to school.
Last Call for Sneakers: Donate by Tuesday, December 13th
Please support our fourth-grade community service project by donating your used sneakers. Sneakers get recycled or reused to keep them out of landfills. Money earned supports our pen pals at Balo English Medium School in Kolkata, India. Our goal is to collect over 1,000 pairs of sneakers in the blue bin at the school entrance.
Taco Tuesday is December 13th from 3-7pm. Stop by Nutty Squirrel for a delicious ice cream taco to support our school!
Registration for Winter After-School Enrichment (ASE) Program Starts Soon! The Lawton PTA is continuing to partner with 6Crickets to bring students a variety of classes. Registration opens Wednesday, December 14th at 10am. The Winter session runs Monday, January 9th through Friday, April 7th. Check out the afterschoolprograms with questions. Scholarships are available for families in need. Send scholarship requests to kmcerise (be sure to include your first and second choice clubs).
Have Outgrown Spirit Wear? Drop off now through break. Drop in the marked box outside the front entry. Depending on the volume of the collection and condition of the items, PTA will either donate them to school families or resell them at lower prices. The hope is to do a collection once or twice a year that allows spirit wear to make the most of our spirit wear campaigns and keep old clothes out of landfills.
