Volunteers
We are looking for volunteer support for during lunch recesses. If you’re interested, please:
- Update/complete your volunteer application on the SPS Volunteer web page.
- Sign up for a volunteer role here.
In addition to regular volunteer screening (background check, Adult Sexual Misconduct Prevention training, identity verification), this school year in-person volunteers must also: complete the Health & Safety training and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
When to Keep students home
A friendly reminder that sick students need to stay home, even if they test negative for Covid. If your student has any illness symptoms – including congestion, nausea, headache, or sore throat – please keep them home for at least one day. If their symptoms resolve within 24 hours, they may return to school. If symptoms persist, they need to have a negative Covid test before returning and have significantly improved symptoms and adequate energy for a day of learning. All students need to be fever free for a full 24 hours before returning to school. See attached flowchart .
Nutty Squirrel (Gelato) Taco Tuesday. Stop by Nutty Squirrel next Tuesday, March 22 between 3pm and 7pm for a gelato taco or two and 15% of the proceeds will be donated to the Lawton PTA.
