Open Advocacy Board Position! The Advocacy Chair is the link between PTA Policy Priorities at the state and national levels, and the concerns of your local board and members. This flexible position requires no legislative experience as the state PTA provides training and tools, just a desire to get involved and be informed on behalf of our children and families. This position informs the board and broader membership about current issues in education and is provided with tools from the state PTA to help PTA members become effective advocates for change. It also attends a monthly Building and Leadership Team meeting with school leaders as our PTA representative.
